The 2014 reunion in Washington D.C. was another great reunion that was enjoyed by all who attended and we had a wonderful time. Seeing family is always great. The family was able to tour the White House as a group, did not see President Obama, but it was a great time for all. The evening event was held at the Townsend-Rogers Speakeasy. The attire for the evening event was 1920s dress. During our conversations and dining, the family was thrown into a murder mystery. This was a new twist and was a lot of fun with everyone in character and acting out their part. At the end we had to guess who committed the murder based on the clues that were collected. Prizes were awarded to the person who identified the murderer and the best dressed. We are very grateful to Sharon and LaTosha Anderson for all of their hard work in putting on a great reunion. We would also like to thank all of the others who assisted Sharon and LaTosha in putting on the reunion. Many thanks to all of you.
Preparations for the 2015 reunion are well under way. Look for the family reunion packet in the mail in January 2015. Also, check back here for information on the 2015 reunion.
The 2013 Townsend-Rogers Family Reunion was held in San Jose, CA on July 12, 13, 14. We would like to thank Maggie Warren and her daughter Nikki for hosting the reunion and the others who assisted them. A couple of notable things at this year's reunion were the free buffet breakfast at the hotel and San Francisco being cold and windy during the bus tour.
The 2012 Townsend-Rogers Family Reunion was hosted in Dayton, OH on July 6, 7 and 8 by Cynthia Townsend-Hawes and her husband Bobby. It was a great time for everyone who attended and especially for Leo Robinson of Huntsville, AL who won several door prizes.
