The 2023 reunion in Franklin, TN is in the books. We all had a great time in the Brentwood-Franklin, TN area and enjoyed being able to get together again as a family. We would like to thank Rodney Townsend and Rhonda Townsend for hosting the 2023 reunion and for the hard work that they put in to make the reunion a success. We would also like to thank Cynthia Hawes, Maggie Warren, Maggie's daughter Nikki, the other Rodney Townsend and the others for helping put on the reunion. The accommodations at the Hyatt Place hotel were great, not to mention the free breakfast. Also, the food at the Dinner and Dance was superb, especially the brisket. We as a family greatly appreciated the hard work that was put into the reunion.

The 2022 reunion was 3 years in the making due to it being cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to the covid-19 pandemic. The 2022 reunion was held in Detroit, MI and was hosted by Sidney Crumley and his wife Michelle. The family would like to thank Sidney and his wife Michelle for hanging in there the past three years to host the reunion. The family enjoyed the accommodations of the Best Western Premier in Southfield, MI. We would also like to thank the family members who attended the 2022 reunion. Again, we would like to thank Sidney and Michelle Crumley for the 3 year effort it took to host the reunion.
The 2019 reunion was held in Nashua, New Hampshire. This was the first time the family reunion had been held in New Hampshire. The reunion was hosted by Elaina Townsend and her husband Tony Keohavong and assisted by Elaina’s dad Ronnie Townsend and his wife Pat. The family enjoyed great accommodations at the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel and occupied the entire 8th floor. The reunion had the customary meet and greet that Friday night. On Saturday, many family members enjoyed bowling as you can see in the pictures. The family had a masquerade ball on Saturday night. Also, Elaina kept the hospitality room full of food and beverages. Elaina Townsend, her husband Tony and the 2018 reunion’s host, Roderick Doss, represent the future of the Townsend-Rogers family reunion. We would like to commend them for hosting the 2018 and the 2019 reunions. The continuation of the reunion will be dependent on their generation. The 2018 reunion was held in Athens, AL and hosted by Roderick Doss and assisted by his wife; Tremaine McCollough; Debra Jones; Sean Jones, his wife Kenyata and daughter Morgan; Gary Jones and several others. Most of these are grandchildren of Margaret Jones and are considered the next generation. Debra and Gary Jones are siblings and children of Margaret. The family had nice accommodations at the Hampton Inn & Suites which included a very nice continental breakfast each morning. The reunion included a Meet & Greet on Friday night which included dinner, music, socializing and plenty of photographs. On Saturday morning, we had a picnic under the tents with a water slide for the kids at the Limestone Sheriff's Rodeo Arena. Saturday night was the All White banquet, which was a pretty site to see. Be sure to look at the pictures.
The 2017 reunion was held in Oak Brook, IL (a suburb of Chicago) and hosted by Bennie Harold Horton and his wife Linda. They were assisted by Dwayne Collins, David Cecil Malone and his wife Mildred. The accommodations and activities were held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chicago - Oak Brook. There was plenty to see and do in the Chicago area including the Taste of Chicago which took place that weekend. This year's dinner and dance featured the illusionist Walter King, Jr. , also called the Spellbinder. The family was wowed by his unbelievable illusions. It was totally mind blowing to see him turn a drawing of a bowling ball into the actual bowling ball. It was another enjoyable time for the Townsend & Rogers family members and friends. We would like to thank Bennie Harold and the others for an enjoyable time.
The 2016 reunion was held in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina and hosted by Alison Townsend and Antoinette Newman. The activities were held at the Embassy Suites hotel but we also had the option of staying at the Hampton Inn and Suites at a cheaper rate. The hotels were across the parking lot from each other. There were several shopping plazas and nice restaurants within a mile of the hotels. All of this made for some great accommodations. We had a blast at the Dinner and Dance on Saturday night which featured a 70's theme. The outfits and wigs that family members and friends wore made some of us reminisce of days gone by. That was a lot of fun and filled with laughs. We would like to commend Alison, Antoinette and all of the others that assisted in putting on another great reunion.
